April’s featured photographer is Florencia Trincheri’

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Florencia is a photographer and a journalist. Her career has developed in still photography in cinema, fashion, as well as in advertising. She works as a Director of Photography in documentaries, shorts and video clips, and contributes as a photographer for local media.

In addition, Florencia is one of the co-founders and a member of the collective M.A.F.I.A. Her photographs have been exhibited in collective exhibitions and published in various national and international media channels. Her latest solo show “Character” was exhibited during the XIX Festival of Light in the Casa Florida gallery.

Character

I am an intimate witness of the transformation of two people since their birth. I contemplate the process of construction and change of their lives in their most precise details. Their features, gestures, tempers as well as their relationship with the world. These are the lives of León and Antonia, my children.

In this series, I am looking to portray the many colours of their brotherhood, their connection with the world and their games, as well as the immensity of their own Character.

La fotógrafa del mes de Abril es Florencia Trincheri

Nace en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Florencia es fotógrafa y Licenciada en Periodismo. Se dedica a la fotografía fija en cine, moda y publicidad. Trabaja como Directora de Fotografía en documentales, cortos y videoclips. Colabora fotográficamente con diversos medios gráficos y es Co-fundadora e integrante del colectivo M.A.F.I.A.

Sus fotografías han sido expuestas en muestras colectivas y publicadas en diversos medios gráficos nacionales e internacionales.
Su última muestra individual “Carácter” fue exhibida durante el XIX Festival de la Luz en la galería Casa Florida.

Carácter

Soy testigo íntima de la transformación de dos personas desde su nacimiento.

Contemplo el proceso de construcción y cambio de sus vidas en sus detalles más precisos. Sus rasgos, sus gestos, sus temples, su relación con el mundo. Y el tiempo, bordando la trama de la vida de León y de Antonia. Busco que estas imágenes retraten el color de su hermandad, el olor de su conexión con la naturaleza, el sonido y el silencio de sus juegos y el volumen inmenso de su carácter.
