December’s featured photographers are Daiana Valencia and Celeste Alonso, Rueda Photos collective
Rueda Photos are Daiana Valencia and Celeste Alonso that since 2016 merged their eyes together to work collectively telling stories. Part of their training was in Journalistic and Documentary Photography at the Association of Graphic Reporters of the Argentine Republic. Their first collective work was in Haiti covering the presidential campaign of the candidate Maryse Narcisse in the elections of October 2015. From that moment onwards, Rueda Photos was born.
As a collective they have published in media such as; El Pais de España, Cosecha Roja and Crisis de Argentina Magazine. In addition, the work “30,000” was selected and exhibited at the Cultural Center of the Memory Haroldo Conti in frame of the Photographic Contest Gente de mi Ciudad 2017. In October of 2017, they were selected to participate in the Photographic Brigades of the FIFV (Photography Festival of Valparaiso) where they developed “Diversidadxs” that was exhibited in the Plaza La Victoria in Valparaiso, Chile. Later on, the work was selected in the call for Muta Colectivo and was exhibited in the UNSAM Library during 2018. Images of different works that we have developed have been selected to be part of the book Being a Latin American Woman.

“The fraternity”
The founders and ambassadors of Bolivian folklore invited their country fellows to their social reception with a Mass of honor to the Virgin of Copacabana, in the Barrio General San Martin, Charrúa, with a great folk caravan through the streets of the neighbourhood, to then finish in Sacachispas in a great show of the Fraternity. On that day, they recreated the festivity, which makes them all feel Bolivian and be part of their culture, so as not to lose it and continue transmitting it from generation to generation, although the scenario is Villa Soldati in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Las fotógrafas del mes de Diciembre son el colectivo, Rueda Photos, Daiana Valencia and Celeste Alonso
Rueda photos son Daiana Valencia y Celeste Alonso que desde al año 2016 fusionan sus miradas para trabajar colectivamente contando historias. Parte de su formación fue en Fotografía Periodística y Documental en la Asociación de Reporteros Gráficos de la República Argentina. S primer trabajo colectivo fue en Haiti cubriendo la campaña presidencial de la candidata Maryse Narcisse en las elecciones de Octubre de 2015. A partir de ese momento Rueda Photos surge como colectivo.
Como colectivo han publicado en medios como El Pais de España, Cosecha Roja y la Revista Crisis de Argentina. La obra “30.000” fue seleccionada y expuesta en el Centro Cultural de la Memoria Haroldo Conti en marco del Concurso Fotográfico Gente de mi Ciudad 2017. En Octubre del 2017, fueron seleccionadas para participar en las Brigadas Fotográficas del FIFV (Festival de Fotografía de Valparaiso) donde desarrollaron su proyecto “Diversidadxs” que fue expuesto en la Plaza La Victoria de Valparaiso, Chile. Posteriormente, el proyecto quedó seleccionado en la convocatoria de Muta Colectivo y fue expuesto en la Biblioteca de la UNSAM durante el 2018. Imágenes de diferentes trabajos han sido seleccionadas para formar parte del libro “Ser mujer Latinoamericana”.

“La fraternidad”
La Junta de Pasantes , fundadores y la gestión 2018, embajadores del folklore invitaron a sus fraternos a su recepción social con una misa de honor a la Virgen de Copacabana, en El Barrio Gral San Martin, Charrúa, con una gran caravana folklórica por las calle del barrio, para luego terminar en Sacachispas en un gran show de la Fraternidad. En ese día se recrea eso que a todos los hace sentirse bolivianos y formar parte de su cultura para no perderla y seguir trasmitiéndola de generación en generación aunque el escenario sea Villa Soldati en Buenos Aires, Argentina.
